At Air Sea Containers, UN Certified (Approved) Packaging can be identified by a UN Specification Mark printed or embossed on the packaging. UN Approved plastic jerricans will feature a UN Mark starting with the number 3, representing a jerrican, followed by the letter H for plastic. The number that follows represents the type of closure; 1 represents a non-removable head.

These UN-approved plastic jerricans are suitable for various materials and should be used only with up-to-date UN guidelines.

A 3H1 jerrican is made from plastic, which can include LDPE, FHDPE, or HDPE plastic.

LDPE stands for Low-Density Polyethylene, HDPE stands for High-Density Polyethylene, and FHDPE stands for Fluorinated High-Density Polyethylene.
