4G Fibreboard Box - OUTER PACK - 4G 1005

Our 4G Fibreboard Box 4G/Y4/S must be used with the specific ‘approved with’ inner packaging listed below. Approved for packing group II & III. Gross package must not exceed 4kg. Holds 4 x 250ml glass bottles approved inner packagings. This 4G box is approved for shipping liquid dangerous goods.   For approved inners torque values please refer to the Torque Values sheet on our FAQ page.

To ensure the packaging can fulfil its capability, it is important to pack the box correctly and compliantly as per the assembly instructions. If packed incorrectly, you risk invalidating the UN certification and the substance being compromised during transit. It is the shippers responsibility to ensure the assembly instructions are strictly followed.

How to assemble 4G Fibreboard Box 4G/Y4/S

The code 1005 comes fully assembled; however additional taping is required. First start by sealing the base of the box with 50mm adhesive tape in a “U” shape. Turn the box upright, open the outer lid and remove the top foam pad. Place the approved glass bottles into the 4G box Place the foam pad on top of the inners. Close the outer packaging flaps in numerical order as printed on the box, Seal with 50mm adhesive tape in a “U” shape over the tuck in flap.

No. Each 4G packaging design has been tested and approved with the use of specific inner packaging. You must use the same inner packaging as used in the testing process. The approved inners for this 4G box are listed above.

For this specific 4G/Y4/S box, vermiculite is NOT required, this box is supplied with foam partitions to prevent movement of the inner packaging.
No. Tapes come in various sizes and types, they are designed to seal 4G boxes to avoid them opening or the inner packaging escaping during transport and have been tested for their capability. You must use the same tape and method as used in the testing process. The approved tapes and taping method for this 4G box is, 50mm adhesive tape sealed in a “U” shape.
