4G Fibreboard Box: OUTER PACK - 4G 370

4G Fibreboard Box 4G/Y20/S must be used with the specific ‘approved with’ inner packaging listed below (4 x 2.37L glass inners). Approved for packing group II & III. Gross package must not exceed 20kg. This 4G box is approved for shipping liquid dangerous goods. For approved inners torque values please refer to the Torque Values sheet on our FAQ page.

To ensure the packaging can fulfil its capability, it is important to pack the box correctly and compliantly as per the assembly instructions. If packed incorrectly, you risk invalidating the UN certification and the substance being compromised during transit. It is the shippers responsibility to ensure the assembly instructions are strictly followed.

How to assemble 4G Fibreboard Box 4G/Y20/S

Assemble the box, fold the bottom flaps first and seal the base twice with 50mm adhesive tape in a “H” shape. Insert the bottom buffer pad into the box, assemble the 4 section central divider and place inside the box. Place the approved x 4 code 354 glass bottles into the 4G box. Add the top buffer pad. Close the outer box by folding the inner flaps in first, then the outer flaps. Seal twice with 50mm adhesive tape in a “H” shape

No. Each 4G packaging design has been tested and approved with the use of specific inner packaging. You must use the same inner packaging as used in the testing process. The approved inners for this 4G box are listed above.

You must use the same cushioning as used in the testing process. For this specific 4G/Y20/S box, top and bottom buffer pads, plus central dividers are required to prevent movement of the inner packaging, this is the approved cushioning. Vermiculite must NOT to be used in this 4G box, it has been tested and approved without the use of vermiculite.
No. Tape come in various sizes and types, they are designed to seal 4G boxes to avoid them opening or the inner packaging escaping during transport and have been tested for their capability. You must use the same tape and method as used in the testing process. The approved tapes and taping method for this 4G box is; seal with two strips of 50mm adhesive tape in a “H” shape. This can also be found on the assembly instructions.
