Our 4G Fibreboard Box 4G/X31/S must be used with the specific ‘approved with’ inner packaging listed below. Approved for packing group I, II & III. Gross package must not exceed 31kg. This 4G box is approved for shipping liquid dangerous goods. For approved inners torque values please refer to the Torque Values sheet on our FAQ page.

To ensure the packaging can fulfil its capability, it is important to pack the box correctly and compliantly as per the assembly instructions. If packed incorrectly, you risk invalidating the UN certification and the substance being compromised during transit. It is the shippers responsibility to ensure the assembly instructions are strictly followed.

How to assemble 4G Fibreboard Box 4G/X31/S

Assemble the box, folding in the bottom flaps first and sealing the base with 50mm adhesive tape in a “U” shape. Fold the supplied end buffer pads and insert into box. Place the approved inners into the 4G box. Fold and insert both inner dividers. Close the outer box by folding the inner flaps in first, then the outer flaps. Seal with 50mm adhesive tape in a “U” shape. Your product is now correctly packaged and ready for the appropriate hazard labels to be affixed along with any other necessary consignment information.

For this specific 4G/X31/S box, vermiculite is NOT required as a cushioning. The provided buffers and dividers must be used to prevent movement of the inner packaging.
No. Tapes come in various sizes and types, they are designed to seal 4G boxes to avoid them opening or the inner packaging escaping during transport and have been tested for their capability. You must use the same tape and method as used in the testing process. The approved tapes are shown above and the taping method for this 4G box is, seal with 50mm adhesive tape in a “U” shape.
