At Air Sea Containers, UN Certified (Approved) Packaging can be identified by a UN Specification Mark printed or embossed on the packaging. UN Approved jerricans will feature a UN Mark starting with the number 3 representing a jerrican, the following letter represents the material, e.g H is plastic, A is steel. The number that follows represents the type of closure 1 represents non removable head:

A 3H1 jerrican are made from plastic, these can be LDPE, FHDPE, HDPE plastic.
