To ensure the packaging can fulfil its capability, it is important to pack the box correctly and compliantly as per the assembly instructions. If packed incorrectly, you risk invalidating the UN certification and the substance being compromised during transit. It is the shippers responsibility to ensure the assembly instructions are strictly followed.
Assemble the box, folding in the bottom flaps first and sealing the base with 50mm adhesive tape in a “U” shape. Assemble and place the buffer partition inside the box. Assemble and add the 5 section divider, securing with suitable tape. Add in a layer of vermiculite, Place the 5 approved inner packagings into the 4G box. (When using with x10 approved with inners, 5 layer pads must be added to create 2 layers of 5 inners) Add vermiculite filling all remaining spaces and ensuring a top layer covers the inners. Close the outer box by folding the inner flaps in first, then the outer flaps. Seal with 50mm adhesive tape in a “U” shape. When using the code 2 4G box with configurations of 2, 4, 8, 12, 16 inners, the 5 section divider is not required. Vermiculite, layer pads and side buffer partitions are still required.
