Technical Instructions for air – by ICAO
ICAO Technical Instructions for the carriage of dangerous goods by air.
ICAO (the International Civil Aviation Organization) is the governing body for dangerous goods sent by air.
Whilst ICAO are the regulatory body, shippers may use the IATA dangerous goods regulations, which are produced annually to help shippers better understand their requirements, as imposed by the ICAO technical instructions, which are sometimes confusing to shippers.
Dangerous goods regulations tell shippers what requirements must be met in order to ship dangerous goods. This includes packaging and hazard labels.
